Deere Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

John Deere is the brand name of Deere & Company, an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment. In 2019, it was listed as 87th in the Fortune 500 America's ranking and was ranked 329th in the global ranking. The company also provides financial services and other related activities. Deere & Company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol DE. The company's slogan is "Nothing Runs Like a Deere", and its logo is a leaping deer, with the words 'JOHN DEERE' under it. Various logos incorporating a leaping deer have been used by the company for over 155 years.

An unhappy customer had this to say, "Had a 165 that ran without fail for over 20 years, but dealer lied and said it would handle a snowblower. Yes if I drove it not if my wife and kids did, so I bought the X320. Deere said I was one day over their return it policy and if I wouldn't lose so much money I would have traded it in for any make."

"No appreciation of employees. No back up during difficult situations. Waste of 8 years. You will work crazy hours and be asked for more. If you are a woman, expect to have to work at least 3x as hard to get to same career level as a man."

Quality Technician (Former Employee) says

"Work-life balance"

Tool Design Engineer (Former Employee) says

"Supervision bad do not promote quality. Graded by number of hours per job only. Do not pay attention to shop operators needs. Checkers are told to destroy good designs and run up the hours. Do not promote CREO education. Cons: Poor supervision"

"John Deere has the inability of understanding what the jobs are for buyers, analysts and planners. All parts are not equal in the purchasing process and changes in lead times need to be updated."

Analista Marketing (Former Employee) says

"Eu fui injustiçada, simplesmente teve a troca de gerente e a mesma não tinha um pigo de educação, gritava e batia na mesa o tempo todo... fui até o RH para relatar e o fator do gestor ter 20 anos de empresa nada foi feito e eu fui demitida... Cons: Falta uma atenção maior com o funcionário por parte do RH, ou seja, avaliar se o gestor tem capacidade de trabalhar com ser humano."

The downside is management is not looking into your best interest and they willstab you in the back to cover themselves Cons: Management will throw you under the bus to save themselves they dont care about anyone else but them"

Shop Hand (Current Employee) says

"Hard place to work, coworkers are great but the management sucks. They don’t take into consideration that we are human and have lives outside of work. They expect us not to get sick and harp on us if we do."

Interim Production Line Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"They expect you to do a lot but don"t want to give you access to the tools as a supervisor, they take what they need from you and then throw you to the wayside, excutive management has no respect for the supervisors and they have favorites. No respect or integrity and do not train you thourghly as a supervisor of a production supervisor. Leadership and teamwork flat out suck"

"Good compny"

Certified Welder (Current Employee) says

"Management has no clue what goes on on the shop floor nor do they care! Cut throat can't trust your co-workers! Only way to advance is to suck up to the right people! No common sense anywhere (carts always in front of the horse)."

Assembly Line Worker (Current Employee) says

"They don’t worry about worker safety. They always blame the worker. My friend fell off a piece of equipment and they blamed the worker! The hoists are in bad shape and in safe."

Small Engine Mechanic (Former Employee) says

"This was a horrible place to work. Owners have no clue how to treat people and fire people all the time for no reason. I worked with a guy who had been there for almost 30 years he never missed work, he was never late and he did good work and they fired him a week before Christmas. I have never seen more people come and go anywhere I have worked but this place was the worst. Owners have no clue how to treat employees and fire people all the time thinking that will fix all of their problems. Management will throw people under the bus all the time. I was told it was ok for me to take 3 days off 6 months after I started to go to Georgia but that was a lie and it was used against me at a later review. All the guys in the shop get an hour long lunch but I was told I could only have 30 minutes and there are NO breaks at all. I was told they looked down on the people who tried taking a break Cons: Owners, management, liars and phonies"

BOB says

"I purchased a john deere E 150 with 48 inch deck
2 years old 48 hours on the clock.
what a huge disappointment, For me I clean after each use, and grease 3 times per season. and fully serviced at the dealer each year.
The first year 20 hours steering gears worn out alot of play in the steering, dealers says its normal, when i changed the gears myself problem solved, until this year same issue.
first year the deck kit had to be replaced bearing very noisy, and keep in mind I greased it 3 times.
Now the second year 48 hours on the clock, same issue. The answer is junk, I was always under the assumption John Deere is a great machine. I would not recomment a John Deere 100 series to anyone looking for a machine."
